Matriarchs and PatriarchsMeet - October 6, 2018
I’m all about causes, as you know, student causes especially. I’m so happy to see Chiara with a cause. It’s so important. The evolution of the cause has been so powerful and exciting. She sold her first t-shirts to her peers at school and ordered them online, and after doing some research realized that no matter how good the cause of Matriarchy was, there was no point of doing it if the cotton in the t-shirts was using hundreds of kilos of pesticides and killing the planet.
She said “we can’t do that anymore” and moved production completely to a factory in India where the cotton is GOTS certified, and the workers and organic cotton farmers are paid a living wage, which is amazing.

She is donating 10% of the profits to local women’s organizations in Bali, New York, and India. On and up with Matriarchy Now.
