22-hour fasting and 30 km bike rides
Do - July 30, 2019I was very excited when I came back from traveling and the scale was the same as when I left. I didn’t gain weight. It’s super hard to maintain any type of discipline when traveling. The only ‘fly in the ointment’ was I weighed 25 more pounds than I wanted to. So I’m doing 22-hour fasting and eating within a two-hour window each day. Having Cynthia support me is everything.
22 hours fasting is not a perfect story but it can be done. I’m going to do it until I lose the 25 pounds. I’m 6 pounds down.
My day can be made or ruined in 30 seconds in the morning. You either feel like you’re a champion making it through life, or an idiot with no control. It’s sad to be tied to that but I’m turning 70 this year and I need to get rid of some of the weight am carrying.
Breakfast is easy and lunch is easy. I’m riding these days when I feel hungry. 20, 30, 40 kilometers a day. We did the rim of the volcano last week. I’ve always liked biking. I had the first mountain bike in Bali. I’d ride to Payangan and back. And after a year of riding it, the wheels fell off.
Last year at TED, a presenter spoke about this ring by Motiv. In the future, this wearable will be something that can unlock your devices by analyzing your unique heartbeat, make purchases and more.
It charges for an hour every three days. It’s amazing. I have become totally addicted because it’s not ugly and it’s actually useful. I lost the charger and was in LA for one day and they got me a new charger for free. That’s customer service.
