Les voiles de St Tropez: Making the seas beautiful

See - November 18, 2021

Les voiles de St Tropez: Brave men have been challenged in the ocean for many centuries. Until recently they were doing it with great beauty, grace, and style. During our traveling time by the sea, we have encountered fleets of pig boats, designed (with a few exceptions) without any thought for beauty, the ocean, or the future. They are wallowing across the ocean burning huge amounts of diesel fuel, showing the people of the world that there is plenty, but sorry there’s nothing for you. For a short time, the marina was taken over by wooden sailboats showing that beauty has not completely lost the war for the ocean.

Our friend Pascal kindly invited us to spend four nights in St Tropez and introduced us to the world of these incredible 250-year-old sailing ships.
